What is Google Sandbox? How You Can Protect Your Blog?

Google Sandbox will be a new term for most of the bloggers. Blogging world has so much term and you will be aware about them as you will dig more into blogging. As blogging became a viral system for youngsters and everyone is doing blogging just by seeing his or her friends.

As you know there is crowd of blogs as well as bloggers and everyone is trying to get ranked on first page of Google. People are doing even some wrong methods to have better ranking so that they can attract more advertisers for their blogs and can make more money.

Google-Sandbox

What Actually Google Sandbox Is?

Google Sandbox is a Google Algorithm which keep tracks of the methods you are trying to build backlinks for you blogs. This will track the IP address of your computer and will notice how frequently and how much backlinks you are building for your blog either they are blog comments or guest blogging.

As you know blog commenting is the most easiest way to build backlinks but how frequently you are building backlinks for you matters a lot.

How You Can Protect Your Blog?

No doubt Google is the GOD in the internet world. everyone want to be on the first page of Google. But Google don’t love the cheap and fake methods which you are trying to fool them. Below you can see some.

Never Copy any Post

Copying is always a crime either it is your school or internet world. It is very easy to copy someone’s article and paste on your blog and get the fame. But google crawler is smarter the you, because it will find which was the original article and its going to put you in Google Sandbox. If you are dong this practice again and again.

Never do too much Comments

Commenting is the easiest way to build backlinks as well as to get sandboxed. Yes, I am saying this true because Google know about your activities and they know how you are doing commenting and how valuable comments you are leaving.

Too much commenting can lead to face big problem in future. Because if you will continue this then Google Sandbox will put you in spam list and every-time you will do comment on any blog it will go in spam commenting only. And you know it very well what is the ratio of approving spam comments and real comments. So don’t overdo this practice if you want to run long time blog.

If you want to be in the safe zone then never do too much commenting and if you want to do this then use any of good proxy software.

Tor Browser is the best browser for anonymous internet surfing. Some tips to be safe from Sandbox :

Don’t use any unethical way

Unethical ways always leads to disaster and they are going to destroy your blog credentials and once you will be in Google Sandbox then it is very difficult to come out from there.

These unethical ways include Fake Visits, Fake comments, Copied Articles etc.

In my final words I would like to say that don’t try to fool Google because once they will put your domain in Google Sandbox that will be a bad experience for you and I know most of the bloggers will leave blogging also, so its much better to stay in safe zone.

  2. My question would be is …how do they determine how much is too much. If I leave 15 blog comments per day, is this determined to be too much in the eyes of Google?

  3. You made a point that "Google Sandbox will put you in spam list and every-time you will do comment on any blog it will go in spam commenting only".

How one can come out that problem then??

    • Very Good Question Rahul !!

For getting rid of this problem you can contact Akismet !!

      http://akismet.com/contact/

goto this link and Type "My Comments are going in SpamBox"

Then you can convince then accordingly to remove your link from SPAMBOX..

This is the Reply Mail which i got from them !!

      Hi,
      This is fixed for now.

Some blog owners are saying your comments are spam. It is blog owners who look at your comment and decide this.
You need to be careful where and how you comment or this will happen again.

      This CANNOT be fixed again.

Some useful tips are provided to be safe from sandbox.I believe it’s better to follow the ethical ways rather than unethical ways and put my domain in Google Sandbox.I suggest its better not to make blog comments to go into spam commenting.According to me its not good to copy one's article and paste it and by this one's creativity is lost .

  5. I heard the word “sandbox” but never tried to go deep. Google has always been strict on over-doers. Recently they said that too much SEO will reduce the SE ranking of blogs and sites. So it’s better to go with quality content, not the more SE optimized content.

Thanks for the article. You can do better btw πŸ˜‰

    • Asif, it is very true that over optimization will suck your blog as per Google is saying. So for the quality we can target the blogs which have high authority and the most important thing is same Niche.

Never do commenting on the blogs which are totally different from your Niche..

    Reply
    • Prabhakaran, Adsense Sandbox might be term when you do some invalid activity and Google put your account or your blog url in it rather then disabling your account..

So when the account or blog will go in sandbox you cannot say when it will be back from there.. only Google GOD know this.. πŸ˜€

getting out of sandbox can take from few days to around 6-7 months.

  11. Incorrect grammar and spelling "don’t try to make Google fool" and "Google Sandbox that will be to much bad experience for you"

There is no such term as "Google SANDBOX" atleast, not officially.

Commenting cannot be harmful, unless your comments are like this –

    "Nice
    http://myblog.com"

Most comments are with no follow anyway, so you are better off with writing a good comment, so users will click the link in your name. It is highly recommended NOT to put your site's URL in the comment body.

IP address is not at all related to spam comments. Using any browser won't do.

I hope you learnt something from this comment.

One more thing, it is advisable to go on other blogs, and research a bit, before blindly following tips on blogs.

    • Changed the words, sorry I guess something went out of the hand during editing work.

      1. "Google Sandbox" is quite common now, so it is not an issue to write about that.

      2. Too much comments in bad way leads to SPAM.

      3. Yes, IP Address related to SPAM comment.

Feel free to debate mate. πŸ™‚

      • Just checked, sandbox is indeed now common. Guess it's just me behind the times.

Yup, too much comments in a bad way leads to spam, but, if you are making valuable comments related to the article it doesn't.

Only akismet does IP tracking, most others don't.

Some other errors from the first 2-3 paragraphs, you'll surely find more.

"Blogging world have so much term" – Blogging world has so many terms.
"trying to ranked" – Trying to get/be ranked.
"People are doing even some" – People are even doing some.
"But Google don’t love the" – But Google doesn't love the.

Along with this, there is wrong capitalization too.

"Fake Visits, Fake comments, Copied Articles" should be fake visits, fake comments, copied articles.

        Reply
          • As I said, IP tracking is only by akisment, so you're good if you spam at forums (not saying you should…)

And if you could, explain "unethical" ways in a better way… I'd be interested to read that article.

  12. Too many dodgy links in a short span of time can get your site penalized/sandboxed, hence you should avoid using automatic website submitter tools and any other artificial looking link building methods.

    • Yes Sagar !! I have seen that people are just mad for making backlinks and they are even using some bad tactics for gaining fast success.

So there are too much tools available in the market to automate all the process, and such tools always do the comments on spammy blogs which ultimately harm your blog up-to an extent level.

      Reply
      • One such example is the IMT Website submitter, it creates a lot of backlinks in a very short span of time, sounds cool but does not hold true for all, can get your website indexed fast for a new blog but for search engines it may look spammy and dodgy. Also the links created are not so useful, hence such tools should be avoided as far as possible to avoid being penalized by search engines.

  14. I've read articles about this sandbox before but it's not clear if this is true. Somehow, the point of algorithm is well-taken, too much SEO optimization is bad for your website and for your reputation as well. Everything that is too much is bad, the saying goes, and is true. We should make it natural and slowly but with quality in Google's favor.

    • Jasmine as I said earlier commenting is not bad but excess of everything is always bad !! Once your domain will be sandboxed there will be no use of commenting for you..

  15. Naah, manual commenting can’t get your site sandboxed..blogs are introduced for interaction between readers and writes ,and comments are the mediam for this interaction.

    Google loves comments πŸ™‚

    Btw thanks for nice post.

      • Oh my god,
Now I have read this entire post, and SORRY to say your concept about Google Sandbox is completely WRONG.

Google sandbox algorithm is not concerned with anything like sending your comments to spambox.

        Google created the Sandbox filter
for new sites to avoid the new spam sites to dominate on serps.
It means if your site is new and targeting midium high competetive keywords then your site will be sandboxed.

The actual meaning of sandboxing site is that your site will get very very low traffic from google as your main keywords you will not see in even first thousand serps.
Usually sandboxed period is of 3 months.
And you will get your rankings back as this period of about 3 months is passed.

if your old site is found having large amount of spam backlinks suddenly then google may sandbox your site.. And you will loose your rankings for next 3 months. πŸ™‚
