Yahoo finally released the new beta version of their most popular Instant Messaging Software — Yahoo Messenger. This new beta version allows you to play games with friends including several popular ones from Zynga. Yahoo! Messenger is an instant messaging client and associated protocol provided by Yahoo!
Yahoo recently partnered with Zynga to bring their popular Farmville game to Yahoo Network. This beta version will also contain other popular games of Zynga such as Fishville and Mafia Wars. You can also manage all your social networks (including Twitter and Facebook) from one place.
Mozilla recently announced the launch of Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta for mobiles. It was formerly code named “Fennec”. This beta (as of now) is available for some Nokia phones (like N900) and devices running Android OS (2.0 or later). Hard luck for Apple iPhone users.
Mozilla said this mobile-based browser has the same technology platform as Firefox 4 for desktop computers, just optimized for browsing on a mobile device. This browser has features like syncing, add-ons and the Awesome Bar.
This browser is till in beta stages and some main features would be missing. You can expect updates before the final version is announced. Firefox 4 beta for mobile is now available to download and test.

Opera Inc. today released the first beta version of Opera 10.53 for Linux and FreeBSD variants. It is also considered to be the fastest and feature rich Linux browser available.

Microsoft has been working hard for its next version of Windows Home Server. Recently MS released beta of this next version (code name “Vail”) and it is available for download now. WHS is codenamed as Vail.
It is the version 2 release of Windows Home Server. You can download the beta release from Microsoft Connect Site.
Some Primary Changes :
1. Extension of media streaming.
2. Improvements in multi-PC backup and restore.
3. Simplified setup and user experience.
4. Expanded development and customization tools for partners.
To Install the Vail OS on a PC you should format all data from that PC or device. It is better to try Vail OS secondary machine first!
Microsoft recommends that you install the software on a secondary machine first.
This beta also includes a new Software Development Kit (SDK). It gives developers and partners more ways to customize the OS and add new functionality and services to Windows Home Servers.
Hardware Requirements For Windows Home Server (Codename ‘Vail’)
Processor : 1.4 GHz x64 processor.
RAM : 1 GB RAM.
Hard Disk : 160 GB hard drive (Minimum).
It is recommended to run Vail on a 64-bit PC. There will be some compatibility issues with some OEM drivers if you try to run Vail on a 32-bit PC or existing Windows Home Server systems. Even don’t try it on 64-bit Home Server systems.

Few week backs Apple previewed iPhone OS 4.0 and they recently released the beta 2 of its iPhone Operating System. The new iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2 firmware will be supported on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 3G, and iPod touch 2G.
All the iPhone developers can download the iPhone beta at Apple’s Developers site. They have also updated the iPhone 4.0 SDK to beta 2.
Sources said there are only few new features in this latest beta release. But it contains some bug fixes and it is more stable than the first one.

Ever since Microsoft started offering their own anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials, for free, Symantec had a hard time and they are concentrating more on their part.
The beta is only available in select countries. Post excerpts from Symantec,
