Everybody loves free stuff. You know all too well about free e-mail services, free hosting for your site and free open source software (like OpenOffice), so let’s take a look at smaller niche websites and services where you can do all sort of things for free.
1. Bloove
What it is: Free web-based mobile management system. This means that can synchronize your phone, back up and restore data, edit contacts, save or transfer SMS to other phone and perform similar tasks WITHOUT any cables, bluethooth accessories or IR ports anywhere in the world via wireless internet connection (GPRS, Wi-Fi, WiMax, 3G, 4G, etc.).
Limitations: It’s free for 1 phone/1 account only. If you have more than 1 phone, you’ll have to pay.
2. CoolUtils
What it is: Developer of various conversion tools and PDF applications (like bates numbering software). It also has a section for free online converters anyone can use gratis – free image converter, free video converter, free audio converter, free PDF converter, free HTML converter, etc.
Limitations: Online conversion only, one document at a time (no batch mode)
3. IconWanted
What it is: World’s first free search engine and directory for free icons. If you want free icons and don’t want to search all over the internet, this is where you go to (new additions are announced on Twitter daily).

4. MyClasses.Org
What it is: Free social network for teachers, students and schools. It’s geared toward mostly non-academic activities (yoga classes or dance schools, for instance). MyClasses.Org offers free CMS for teachers, instructors, coaches, private tutors and schools, so you can create a free webpage for your class, school or studio with photos, schedule, driving directions, etc. Students can search for schools, courses and activities worldwide, from India to Germany.

5. TwitBacks
What it is: Free Twitter background creator. If you don’t want your twitter page to look live everyone else’s, this is where to go to cool free designs. In addition to that TwitBacks.com has a tool that allows you to add more options and functions for your Twitter page, like adding links to your webpage or social networks are involved in.
