Sharp Going To Launch Two Android-Based Tablets

Sharp Android TabletSharp announced it is going to launch two Android-based Tablets this December. It will be a 5.5-inch and a 10.8-inch tablet named Galapagos. They are also planning to open an electronic bookstore in December, but unfortunately only in Japan.

The 5.5-inch tablet will have a 1024 x 600 LCD screen and the 10.8-inch tablet will have a 1366 x 800 LCD screen. Galapagos will feature Wi-Fi communication and are Android-based. They will be available in red, silver and black.

Talking about the electronic bookstore, it features “Automatic Scheduled Delivery Service” for periodicals and also it delivers free trial versions of recommended content. The e-bookstore will also feature 30K books at launch. Though Sharp plans to expand content to movies, music and games on 2011.

Needless to say Sharp will have to face the tough competition and battle. Apple iPad is the top competitor for Sharp and tablets like HP Slate and Samsung Galaxy Tab should also be considered.

Man, so many tablets launching, the trend is changing. Are you going to buy this one? Share your opinions as comments below.

Is this good? I don’t think so. Come on, who needs more tablets, that too Android based? Aren’t the markets being flooded with Android tablets with leaders like Samsung Galaxy Tab!!
Going ahead with such steps tightens the market, heavy comparison starts – and in the end, people end up buying an iPad. Ironic, isn’t it? 😉

I have used iPhone, 3G, 3Gs and 4 … and used my Bro’s frnd’s iPad … Things they all REALLY lacks

      1. No Flash support for web browsers (android pwns in this)
      2. No Javascript can run. (rather use a Android)
      3. Touch senstivity is POOR in the apple’s hardware (Android’s Multi-touch pwns)
      4. Can’t customize the OS (MAC OS Portable) …
      5. Very bad as it has less apps than all other portable devices … even we can find a bunch of softwares for cheap java phones ,.,, but still here … Android rocks …

now some of the amazing feature of android :

      1. You can install OS (latest Android 2.2 … 2.3 is underdevelopment … ) as you keep installing XP and 7 everymonth @ your PC … LOl … at least I do so 😛

      2. Join the developer groups and you’ll find a LOT of under development software + We have Driver system in android … Graphics drivers, sound drivers etc … AMAZING … Graphics accelerator … enables you to play the 3D games flawlessly

      3. A HUGE LOADS OF APPs …. Plus Flash support in web browser (since android 2.2)

      4. Smoothness is just very EXCELLENT.

      5. No touching glitches like other touch mobiles (Samsung, Huawei’s hardware were seen amazing as well as Android also has some touch system fixes that makes us easy to access items)

      6. Voice command for everything you wanna do 😉

      7. no SHOW OFF

I wrote this myself out here spending a lot of time and I think this wont go wasted … read it 🙂
