Apple recently announced that the 3G version of the iPad model will be made available on May 7, 2010. I came to know about this launch from Apple Online Store.

It is believed that both the Wi-Fi and 3G capable models will be available from day one.

iPad is available in a Wi-Fi + 3G model for fast and better cellular network access when you are not within the range of Wi-Fi network. I also came to know that you can sign up for 3G service through your iPad and you can monitor the data usage. You can also change your plan any time.

  1. Awesome Post, thanks for this fine Post. I will come back soon ! Great information about the ipad.

  2. Nice sharing, but the price of the iPad is too high for low income, I hope the price we come down after sometime.

  3. OMG that looks sweet! I actually like the cool square shape feel. Leave it to apple to come up with a nice looking gadget that you have to have!

  4. The iPad doesn’t excite me much but yes we should expect more such light weight tablets from other companies to give tough fight to Apple.
Should expect more buyers in India after the 3G is released.

  5. Its interesting to see Apple postponing the shipping date again and again. And did anyone notice that they haven’t changed the model prices?

  6. I’m not completely sold on the ipad with 3g yet. I’ll actually need to see some user-reviews first. If it’s anything like smartphones with 3g then it is going to be too slow for my liking.

  7. I’m glad I pre-ordered my 3G iPad on the first day. I’ll be waiting patiently on Friday, April 30th for the UPS or FedEx guy to show up with my magical device. I’m also looking forward to being able to use my iPad where ever I go and not have to rely on finding a WiFi hotspot. AT&T works well in my area.

  8. Wow thats a great news and I was waiting for news like this, thanks for this post Pradeep.
