Well said, Neil – I wanted to add about the site navigation that Google is pretty weird sometimes in their automated quality checks of the SERPs. Their official blog (or their webmaster forum – I forget which) had a question from someone who lost rankings due to footer navigation.
Google replied it looked like the keywords used in that navigation looked like sitewide spam…sort of stuffing the keywords.
Just food for thought – but the sidebar seems OK. 🙂
