When contemplating your website design or redesign Joomla is a good choice for the design platform. There are many reasons that Joomla quite possibly would fit the bill.
Joomla is a content management system and is very powerful. Content organizing in Joomla is what a CMS was designed to do. No other web design platform compares with a content management system when it comes to the database power and flexibility.
The template choices are the best. Web Designers all over the world as well as code geeks are constantly offering the public new template designs. And for professional Joomla Designers the commercial templates are available at little cost. Support for commercial Joomla Template Designers is overwhelming. There are tons of forums available that are the lifeline for Joomla Developers and amateurs alike.
Functionality out of the box is excellent. Joomla components, extensions and plugins are available to do most anything you may want.
- Shopping Carts
- Real Estate Directories
- E-commerce Stores
- SEO modules
- Photo Galleries
- Text and Image Rotators
Those were to just name a few extensions and plugins for Joomla.
One of Joomla’s selling points is the ability of the owner to manage their website. With little raining owners can add or remove content, manipulate and move images. NO code knowledge is needed as Joomla has built in editors that allow you to write much like you would in Word. All text is automatically converted to HTML. This will help one to save yearly maintenance cost of joomla web designer.
People say that a CMS is vulnerable, but I think people blow this out of proportion. Yes a CMS is open source, but I have never been hacked. One advantage is that with a CMS like WordPress you can install free security plugins. With HTML you will not have this fast and easy option. The people who say choosing a CMS is asking for your site to get hacked are usually people who have never used it. A CMS definitely tramples HTML and it has revolutionized the internet and it is not slowing down.
Joomla request composition makes it simple with regard to coders to make innovative add-ons of which increase the power associated with Joomla.. And also the most important thing will be of which joomla is an award-winning information supervision program (CMS) together with highly effective on the net purposes, uncomplicated useful as well as extensiblity.. It’s definitely top notch with regard to coders as well as consumers both equally..
Joomla application framework makes it easy for developers to create sophisticated add-ons that extend the power of Joomla.. And the most important thing is that joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS) with powerful online applications, easy of use and extensiblity..Its really very good for developers and users both..
I would say that most people who want a web site need a bit of help and guidance. The web sites offered with a CMS back end with designer led front end and support are possibly a better option for many business owners withe little website knowledge.

joomla always sounded technical to me, i have never tried anything beyond wordpress. Perhaps after this post, i will give it a try and see how it works 🙂
Using Joomla as a platform is advantageous as you would not be tied to any one developer, designer, or closed application. You own the site, you can develop it with anyone you choose.

No doubt Joomla is power full CMS. Unfortunately WP has incorporated some more easy working CMS then we were habitual of in Joomla.
Drupal is more secure than joomla. But joomla is easy to customize.
