HTC, the popular Taiwan-based manufacturer of smartphones, is currently hiring staff for launching their ‘possible’ online App Store that would sell e-books and applications.
Still it is not conform whether they will open an unified app store, which will serve both Android-based devices and Windows Phone 7 handsets, the two operating systems that HTC currently uses to power their popular smartphones.
Some close sources revealed that HTC was hiring content editors for a planned online HTC store, which will act as a Marketplace, for its smartphones applications as well as for e-books and magazines.

Absolutely HTC mobile hand set are being popular in all over world. but i am suggesting to all buyer who want buy online this is not valuable idea because if we buy from new store then can get quality and dis quality in front of eyes.
It means now HTC is in direct competition with Apple Apps Store
Hmm.. I’m not all that sure about an HTC app store. What’s the advantage? Android and Apple have app marketplaces that work just fine, unless they are planning on mooching some of the profit by referring users to buy apps..
By the way, I have sent you a message through the Contact form http://hellboundbloggers.com/contact/
I wonder if you got the message?
Yea Jasmine, I was in college.. 😀
Replied now, please check it.
Senthil said it, that will bring much competition to iPhones. A lot of people are using Android phones because of it’s extensive features and it’s about time that it presents more options
Thanks for sharing this guys,
Hope lot more HTC users can read this are article to inform them about it.
This should be a good move. With an App Store, it will be much easier for HTC users to find and download HTC apps, ebooks and etc.
This is very bad. Android is designed with openness in mind. This will only make the platform closed and segregated.
It’s a good news for HTC users…..@Sourish @ Senthil Actually Android doesn’t have any App Store officially but they do have a App Market like Nokia used to have earlier and also there is a pvt app store by a pvt firm….Nice Share…
That will bring tough competition. Already iPhone and Android apps are increasing day be day.
@Sourish, I dont think they have one
ok , then what is this about android. com / market/
Senthil it does have an app store. HTC’s own appstore would be awesome 😉
as far as i know , there is already a android app store for all android based devices , isnt it true ??
