HP Slate Officially Launched For $799

HP SlateHP Slate finally reached the market and it’s official. HP Slate is considered to be one of the main Apple iPad killers. It has the specifications to be one of the most powerful tablets on the market. But it’s price of $799 makes it more expensive more than the Apple iPad, which is a bad news.

Specifications of HP Slate includes a 8.9 inch, 1024×600 resolution screen, and a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor. Earlier we shared the main specifications and basic overview of HP Slate. But the fact, that HP Slate has no 3G connectivity is quite discouraging. HP Slate is a device aimed at business customers. Carol Hess-Nickels, director of business notebook marketing at HP said, “It’s really like a full-function PC, it runs Windows, it will run your office applications, it just so happens to be in a slate form factor”.

799 USD is quite huge in my opinion. Do you really think this much money really matters for this gadget?
