How To Write An eBook To Sell For Profit

Earlier we saw the Resources To Sell Your Ebooks. Now we are going to see the techniques to write an eBook that sells. Writing an eBook is not as easy as it sounds. Many people lose motivation fast, since financial gains are not immediate. Other people may suffer the dreaded writerโ€™s block. Use positive affirmations and donโ€™t give up.

Take a break if you get frustrated and peruse other books or articles for inspiration. And keep reminding yourself that once you have written the book and finalized it, all of your hard work will pay off. If you are considering venturing into this arena of business, read on.

Iโ€™ll walk you through the process of preparing an e-book for publication:eBook and Profit

  1. Research : Research your chosen topic, even if you are a pro. You may come across new and innovative ideas that had not occurred to you. The more nuggets of wisdom you can give the reader, the better your book is going to be received. This may also impact sales of future books you may write.
  2. General Outline : Draft a general outline for your eBook, making note of the topics you want to cover. Think about what you would need to complete the idea or task from start to finish. Think about what common questions the consumer may ask regarding this particular topic. This all should be covered in your eBook.
  3. Proofread Twice : Proofread your eBook to ensure it has all of the best information possible.
  4. Good Visual Appeal : Add royalty-free graphics or screen shots to your book to give visual appeal to the reader.
  5. Get Opinions : Ask a trusted friend or colleague to read over it and offer constructive criticism. You want this book to be worth your asking price. If one person loves your eBook, they are bound to talk about it or even recommend it to others.
  6. Marketing : Determine where you are going to market this eBook. If no one knows it exists, it is not going to sell. Amazon and other book dealers sell eBooks for writers. Consider starting an affiliate program (i.e. ClickBank) and have other skilled internet marketers market the book for you. Market it on your own web site, or consider investing in a web site on the subject with considerable page rank and traffic to market this book.
  7. Use Your Email : Add a link to your email signatures to your book.
  8. Post on forums with a link to your site or book.
  9. Creative Thinking : Think outside of the boxwhen it comes to advertising your book.
  10. Try Locally : You can also consider marketing the book in your local community or in newspapers, or hand out fliers to local businesses.

  1. After all the work of writing and promoting, you want to make sure your new product is protected from theft. When somebody purchases your eBook you should deliver it using a secure system (rather than just pointing them to a public download page link)

This happens instantly after a PayPal payment is received, so your new business is automated.

  2. Thanks for sharing this post, blogs and networking sites are the best and easy way to get a message across at no cost.

  5. Fully agree with your points here. Writing an Ebook and Selling it can get some decent money and the guide is really nice to write an ebook as I see many people just writing some crap and trying to sell it in leading sites. I think its one of the way to drive more traffic. I am pretty much pleased with your good work. You put really very helpful information. Keep it up. Keep blogging. Looking to reading your next post.

  6. Writing ebooks is not a good way of making money online as sometimes the response from people is unexpected and all those freeware websites are one such problem. people are not ready to buy you book unless it is promoted in good way or it is suggested by some pro bloggers.

  7. People, try all the free online methods for selling ebooks first. Spending money on ads and pro-sites doesn’t equate to sales. Everything it takes can be done at no cost to you, the author. Create free sites, sell on Amazon and Apple, convert formats, sell with PayPal buttons, make everything automated. How do I know? Because I’ve done it the expensive way and the free way. Hard to believe but the free way works better.

  8. Going by what Darren Rowse’ latest earnings post, ebooks is his #1 source of income. However, the eBook he’s talking about is not exactly those ebooks that people give away in exchange of your email address via popups. Good books (whether e or not) will always sell.

    • Agreed for sure!! If you put the time and effort into creating a masterpiece eBook, you will definitely be less willing to let it go for free or for subscriptions. PLR eBooks can help as giveaways for subscriptions too!

  9. Yes I completely Agree that Writing an Ebook and Selling it can get some decent money and the guide is really nice to write an ebook as I see many people just writing some crap and trying to sell it in leading sites.

  10. E-books are great for business if you really know what you are talking about at the same time you have an interesting topic that will keep people hooked. E-books are great also for fiction that you maybe interested in, like celebrities today publish books, you can too, right? ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. You can sell the ebooks to make money or even give them away as an incentive for people to sign up to your email subscription.
