A & CNAME Records – Domain Registrar

We are using GoDaddy for this article, but the steps will be almost the same for every domain registrar.

Log into your GoDaddy account, click on the desired domain name and go to it’s “DNS Zone File”. Here you can edit or create the required A and CNAME records.

A Record: If you are going to use something like “example.com” for your blog, then select A (Host) for “Record Type”, type @ for “Host”, type 66.6.44.4 for “Points To”, and keep the “TTL” default (1 Hour).
