Adobe SendNow is a new online service that lets you send and receive large files easily for free. Adobe SendNow lets you send, share, and track large files online without the headaches of email size restrictions, multiple email attachments, FTP sites, and costly overnight services. Online file sharing is now easy!
Simply upload your files to the Adobe SendNow website and specify the email addresses of the recipients. Then they can download your files to their computers. They don’t need an Adobe account for downloading your files.
SendNow verifies files you send and download by automatically scanning for viruses. Another cool feature of SendNow is you can decide how long to share a file. Set the time for others being able to download a file at one day, one week, or longer.
How To Send Large Files Using Adobe SendNow
#1 – For this you need an Adobe ID or you can create your free account easily.
#2 – After logging, it will take you to the ‘Send Files’ section automatically.
#3 – Now, you need to upload the file and enter the Email Address of that person. That’s it. Now click “Send”.
Limitations — Adobe SendNow
#1 – Free and Premium : Basic features are available for free while you need to pay a monthly fee to enjoy certain premium features.
Basic features include: 1) Send files up to 100MB 2) Get up to 100 downloads per file 3) Store up to 500MB of files
#2 – You can only send Office Documents, PDFs, ZIP files, etc. and SendNow won’t support audio files, video files, fonts or EXEs.
this Adobe offer is a joke…
-doesn’t support/allow .avi nor .rar files
The main features of this service seems to be a bit limited. I have had better success with Banckle’s free file sharing and mediafire sometimes too.
Wow, it’s so cool! I can now stop splitting files before sending them….
From what I saw on https://sendnow.acrobat.com/welcome.html# you should have an Adobe account. I am right?
Excatly yes. 🙂
Well it is hard to attach a file over 20Mb on Gmail so this seervice will be useful if they allow files over 100 Mb to be attached and the service should be offered free of cost
Nice, at least now we have an option to send files easily and faster instead of taking so much time uploading big files in emails.
really it will help me on my post!!!
Outstanding piece of information! Seriously, email attachments are not good and rapidshare is too complex for me to understand. this is a great new utility…but is there any maximum limit to the size of file?
SendNow won’t support audio files, video files, fonts or EXEs, even in the premium version?
I got this from their FAQs section Namit,
You cannot use Adobe SendNow to send the following file types: audio formats (MP3, AAC, OGG); video formats (MOV, WMV, FLV, XVID, DIVX, RETG); font formats (TTF, DFONT, OTF); archive formats (TGZ, RAR 7Z, SIT, JAR, WAR, CAB); system files and executable formats (EXE, DLL, JS, VB, BAT, CMD, COM, CPL, SH, CSH, TCSH, KSH, BASH, ZSH, INF, HTA, HLP, INS, ISP, VB, JSE, LNK, MS, PIF, SCR, SHS, WS); web files (CHM, CRT); database files (MDB); or raster image files (PCD, SCT).
I guess this applies to both versions. 🙂
Checkout this service https://www.wetransfer.com/ its absolutely free and no registration is required.
it’s a good web utility.. at-least it saves us from splitting up big attachments in smaller ones and then sending thru mail or upload the attachment to any free service and then mail the link…Thanks for Sharing…will be very useful..
is adobe doing it for free or do we have to upgrade?
They have both free and premium versions. Both have their respective features. 🙂
The basic features are very limiting. Rather I will use Mediafire. Its way better than this.
wow….awesome news…
now i could send all my bulk files……
thanks for the info…..
