The Growing Trend of Summer Internships
Summer internships provide students with excellent professional training in their chosen areas. However, we usually have specific concerns about internships. Training, however, is designed for students who already pursue a degree curriculum (bachelor/master’s) and are meant to offer practical knowledge about the operation of every business entity. The aim is to help students associate their research with an organization’s functioning.

Field knowledge, self-confidentness, teamwork, and mindset are the key characteristics. We also find answers to the question, Why should you be hired for this internship? These answers are assessed based on honesty and the candidate’s willingness to collaborate with teams through history testing.
Student V/S Company Perspective
Start-ups recruit the bulk of interns in India, finding innovative and fresh ways. Sarvesh Agrawal, CEO of Internshala, has said, “Internships are becoming a mainstream phenomenon in the last five years and are no longer confined to a few campuses and businesses.
He added that “Not only college students but even school students, medium-sized professionals, and women who return to work now take the internship route.”
In-Demand Roles Currently
Management and media were the most highly skilled sectors, with about 47% and 15% respectively for internships. More since, rather than B-School Teachers, businesses try real-time experience. After that, there are internships in architecture and design. Among the most commonly searched categories are human resources, business development, and web development and Venture Capital internships.
Many people have completed virtual internships than in-office internships, according to estimates. Virtual internships have three times as many applicants as in-office internships as a substantial number of students are either involved in different courses or choose to work from home.
As a whole, internships are a way of capitalizing on theoretical principles for practical application, well before the student’s completed college. The internship offers ample opportunities to observe and assess a future applicant that is not usually available in other talent management channels.
