Every SEO working today will have served many different clients. While most of them should be taken on an individual basis, some of them seem to fit four basic categories. No matter which area of the market you focus on, there will always be some people who make your life more difficult.
Ideally, you want SEO clients to ask their questions before placing the order, and then leave you to get on with your work. Sadly, it doesn’t always turn out that way. Some can be a real pain. Even so; we love you really!
Clients that suffer from keyword vanity disorder are the worst. We know you want to rank high, and we’re doing our best to get you there. However, these things take time, and you’re slowing us down.
Clients that think they know it all can be a real pain too. Believe it or not, we take pride in our work, and we already understand the latest advancements. There is no need to call us and say you’ve seen an article on Yahoo that says something interesting. We already know about it!
Clients the become too dependent on SEO can cause us a lot of stress. As you should understand, SEO should be considered as part of your marketing campaign. You shouldn’t expect sales to go up instantly.
Clients we consider perfect are those who seek more information before placing their order, listen to our advice, and allow us to perform the job in peace. We’ll always do our best for you, but you have to leave us to it most of the time.
