Sex Tourism Inolving Children
It is a federal crime for a U.S. citizen to travel abroad intending to engage in sexual activity with a child younger than 18 that would be illegal if it occurred in the U.S. (18 U.S.C. 2423). Individuals who commit these crimes are subject to prosecution in the U.S. even if the crime was committed on foreign soil.
Extrafamilial Child Sexual Molestation
Extrafamilial child sexual molestation is the sexual molestation of a child by someone other than a family member.
Unsolicited Obscene Material Sent to a Child
It is a federal crime to send obscene material to a child under the age of 16 if the sender knows that the recipient is under the age of 16 (18 U.S.C. 1470).
Adults concerned about adult obscenity not involving children on the Internet should make a report to www.obscenitycrimes.org.
Misleading Domain Names
It is a federal crime to knowingly use a misleading domain name on the Internet with the intent to deceive a minor into viewing material that is harmful to minors (18 U.S.C. 2252B(b)).
Misleading Words or Digital Images on the Intranet
It is a federal crime to knowingly embed words or digital images into the source code of a website with the intent to deceive a minor into viewing material that is harmful to minors (18 U.S.C. 2252C).

Such a right initiative taken by Pardeep to lets people aware about child abuse and get report it in easy way , But here just I want raise a little question is that will BBC and other will provide the same help to all counties or region of only in European countries
A very daring yet wise post Pradeep. We should be aware of this kind of incident that sometimes goes unnoticed due to being scared. Like what you said some don’t report it because it may tarnish their family rep but we must be responsible for bringing out the issues so it can be resolved fast. Strict rules that will scare the abusers.

Good post Pradeep…everybody should read it…I agree that many children are scared to tell it out…I think children should be given a class about this in schools and taught to be open and inform their parents if they are a victim to such incidences.

Good Cause Pradeep. In India there are plently of cases of child sexual abuse. We certainly can report it. But as you said the identity part comes into play. I don’t why people are afraid of loosing their Identify. Their child is less imp than their identity it seems.
I was watching sunitha krishnan’s talk at TED. I dont care whether india is stepping forward and become one giant nation.. This kind of child abuse will take it to nowhere… 🙁
