How Does The Adwords Auction Work? [INFOGRAPHIC]

If you are unaware about Google AdWords, it is a service that lets you create and run ads for your business, quickly and simply. Using Adwords you can choose from a variety of ad formats, including text, image, and video ads, and easily track your ad performance using the reports available in your account.

When people think of an auction, they often think of a prize being sold for the highest bid, well, yes we call that as “Auction”. But the AdWords auction is different, where the winner only pays the minimum amount necessary to maintain their position on the page. You can check out this cool infographic to learn more.

  1. The presentation made to understand any concept might not get simpler than these Infograms which I feel. They are really the excellent way to communicate the concepts.
And this adwords Infogram is really very nice, Pradeep.

  2. Hi S. Pradeep,

I've few queries here, You mentioned that quality score is determined by considering your CTR, relevance and landing page.

#1 Let's say I've a very new site and I decided to advertise through Adwords then how would they determine my CTR as site is new and won't be a single visit.

#2 CTR means Click through Rate right!! Which source was cosidered by adwords to check my CTR like Google search engine itself, other search engines or social networking sites. I'm not sure about CTR so please tell me briefly.

  3. Last year, I've received free $100 Adwords credit from Google. However, I've never use it because it came late. It expired! I want to blame it on the snail mail. That was the only chance that I could experience Adwords.
