Yeah a nice release !!! i have asked my cousin in UK to buy it
If it is around or less than 200$ it is good but if it is more than that it is gonna be more expensive in India.
Kingston is doing very well. Its pretty good, presently I use an 8GB kingston pen drive. But for the same space scandisk is much sleeker………
Kingston 256GB looks really coolll……… But the sad part as mentioned in your post is the price………. π
I also prefer Sandisk…. they look more sleeky and stylish than some kingston models.. π
Yes.. waiting for its price to decrease.. π
Very costly.
Exactly.. π
This is so good for me who takes hundreds of pictures when I travel. But, oh, my, it’s not affordable. I’ll wait till it gets cheaper.
Yeah… π
But don’t worry..time flies.. so the price! π
256 GB flashdisk? what a breakthrough!
but the price is too expensive!
i’d prefer to buy Portable Hardisk rather than that. π
Yeah.. but 256 GB flash disk is quite useful… for professional bloggers and also for professional hackers! π
hehehe..
agree with you..
All I can say is Wow! But the cost factor is a downer. And it is available only in Far East, Europe, Middle East & Africa only.
Thanks for the interesting news. π
Yeah.. cost factor is a downer.. but for gadget freaks.. this factor won’t affect! π
I came across a 64GB USB stick which costs only $150 at gigaom.com – http://gigaom.com/2009/10/26/using-a-netbook-add-a-muscular-usb-flash-drive-to-the-mix/
I could settle for the 64GB one for the time being. π
Knewl ! π
Currently aiming for above 16GB pen drive… hope will get it soon .. π
This is something I need asap for college work! π
I am actually getting a 1 TB network (wi-fi) drive right now to connect all my computers together.
Wow.. great going there.. ! π
I need to replace my Computer first ! π
Thats good but if anyone tell me that he is surely going to buy it for increasing his storage capacity, i’ll advice him to either buy a Dell Studio 15 or A portable HDD Drive.
This gadget is exclusively made for die hard gadget fans ! So they won’t mind the price tag.. and compared to this pen drive.. Dell and HDD won’t bother them much.. π
Its a bit bulky for me but sure the 256 gb space would by far compensate for it.
π The only thing that disturbs me is the price ! π
Hope, it reduces soon…..
It does look a bit bulky, but still looks pretty sexy.
Yup, plus point of Kingston, I like all their models, sleek and sexy ! π
Model or Models?? HeeHee!
Dude!!!! That’s bigger HD space than my lappy!!And wawaweeewa!!! its even pricier than the lappy itself?..This is more FBI/CIA stuff…
Yup Deeroy ! This is mostly preferred by die-hard gadget fans ! π
Thanks for your first comment here Deeroy ! π
Cool gadget.
Yeah.. coolest to the core ! π
What an awesome product. It has a really big capacity.
No doubt ! Can’t wait to meet the future gadgets ! π
Soon we will see 1000GB flash drive :). I love kingston technology.
Yeah.. technology updates every second ! π
Thanks for your first comment here Dayo ! π
OMFG that’s huge man. The max I have used was a 16 Gb pen drive π
Yeah..huge enough to backup entire hard drive !
256GB! Β£565.67!! It’s more like a backup drive.
One day my blog’s entire backup will be 256GB .. that day I will use this ! π

Don’t you think instead of buying this device we can get a nice palmtop in our hands for better utilization π
If I’m having that much of money, I would rather buy the palmtop ! π
But this pen drive, even though costly, clearly indicates the rise in Technology ! π
Ya thats true :),
Scandisk will surely come up with new devices to beat kingston π
Yeah .. Scandisk is a good competitor for Kingston ! Both for Memory Cards and Pen Drives ! π
this flashdisk is very usefull for me.. where i can buy this item??
It is currently available only in Far East, Europe, Middle East and Africa ! π
Search Ebay and other online stores buddy ! …
256 gb is too big. I don’t what to do with it =)
Good thought ! π
Maybe Professional Bloggers will need it ! π
It is costly. I wonder how much would it cost in USA. I tried to find out US based prices at their web site but not able to find any clue.
I think the price might be somewhat nearer to the price mentioned in this article buddy ! π
Will mention in the article if I come to know the original price ! Cheers !
Simple and small, can be put in your pocket and take no place. I do really like this USB. I'm an USB user rather than Hard disk… I own a macintosh and found its memory capacity sufiscient for my use.
Yeah.. but the cost is somewhat hitting us.. ! π
machi terror da
π
Waiting for its arrival in India…..
Maybe the price is too high but I prefer use this because I dont need to carry Hard disk. Simple and easy. Thanks for the review. π
Hmm ! Yes Fatin.. I too like its simplicity ! π
Maybe after 5 months.. it will become double size ! π
wow
Heehee ! π
Hey, the flash drive looks amazing.I would like to buy it as soon as it’s cost comes down to something like Rs 500. I know I will have to wait a long time but this is the price at Nehru Place, Delhi for 4 GB Flash Drive.
Btw, I am also an engineering student from Delhi. I am going in 2nd year from this Sem. I got to your blog through DP forums and you look like an intelligent guy.
From now on, will be a regular reader of your blog.
Bye for now.
Thanks for your first comment here buddy ! π
And of course, for the compliment too ! π
Welcome to HellBound Bloggers Community ! …
usefull but cost is too high^
Hmm ! Yes… prices should be reduced for increase in sale…
see guys, as far as i know, nobody don’t get any need to carry 256gb of data here and there, so basically the reason for this release was just to show off the company’s pride, so i suggest all of you to just ignore it.
I agree with bobby in some parts… ! π
This gadget is exclusively designed for die-hard gadget freaks and people who can spend such a amount for a pen drive…
if i am correct – there would be only 5/100 people who can buy it.
Hmm ! I know those five people ! π
Some names are in the comments ….
~~~~~~~~~Nice~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks for your first comment here mate ! π
but the facilities…r good man…
Yeah ! Excellent features. It also has enhanced security features…
god dam….!!
Ha ha ! π
Maybe they will decrease the price as time flies.. lets hope ! π
wonderful news… waiting for kingston to start its marketing in india..
Same here.. waiting for its arrival in India ! π
WTF “44976” INR !!
I have 320GB portable HDD which is far better and far cheaper than this :p
BTW nice post for quick update buddy.Hope so they will launch it in India soon.
I don’t think Kingston will mind the product sale… it just holds the pride “First” ! π
Nice to see review here too π
Thanks buddy ! π
Gr8 minds do alike ! π
Cost is too low !! i would love to use Laptops HDD as Portable drive !
Then I guess.. you must be a die-hard gadget fan ! π
very useful article, ahh. the price is high, i think i ll wait for one more year and then buy. anyhow it will reduce in proce i think so. π
Everything except the price is wonderful ! π
256GB is good. Waiting for a Terabyte one to replace my external drives 2TB drive!
