Day before yesterday we got PageRank 3 and yesterday Google created Sitelinks. Two in a row. I’m happy to inform this news to you. You can check the sitelinks in Google Search Results. HellBound Bloggers got 8 sitelinks.
Those who are not aware of Sitelinks, Google have the answer…
“The links shown below some sites in our search results, called Sitelinks, are meant to help users navigate your site. Our systems analyze the link structure of your site to find shortcuts that will save users time and allow them to quickly find the information they’re looking for.
We only show Sitelinks for results when we think they’ll be useful to the user. If the structure of your site doesn’t allow our algorithms to find good Sitelinks, or we don’t think that the Sitelinks for your site are relevant for the user’s query, we won’t show them.
At the moment, Sitelinks are completely automated. We’re always working to improve our Sitelinks algorithms, and we may incorporate webmaster input in the future.”
Many people started asking whether there is any trick or tip to create sitelinks…
Sitelinks are completely automated, and we show them only if we think they’ll be useful to the user. If your site’s structure doesn’t allow our algorithms to find good sitelinks, or we don’t think that the sitelinks are relevant to the user’s query, we won’t show them. However, we are always working to improve how we find and display sitelinks.
I can give some suggestions to get sitelinks though. Your blog should not have any broken links or crawl errors. Try to remove them or at least reduce them. You can easily manage it using Google Webmaster Tools.
Well, Google uncle gave me a good PR and created Sitelinks, but still I’m worried because of Google. Guess? No Google Adsense account yet! 8)
