It is officially announced that the Opera Mini app will be live on the App Store within 24 hours.
Post excerpts from Opera Software,
Opera today announced its popular mobile browser, Opera Mini has been approved for iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store. Opera Mini will be available as a free download within 24 hours, depending on market.
Opera actually submitted the app on March 23rd and it was really a billion dollar question whether Apple will approve it or not. But luckily Opera Mini won the game. Now the app is available on the iTunes App Store. You can download the App for free for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. However there is no dedicated iPad version of the app.
Opera chief executive Lars Boilesen said in the press release,
We are delighted to offer iPhone and iPod touch users a great browsing experience with the Opera Mini app. This app is another step toward Opera’s goal of bringing the Web to more people in more places.
So do you own an iPhone and have you tried this app on it? 😉
Once a person gets used to Safari, there is no need of Opera. What do you say ?
opera mini is cool , but is meant for low end phones . iphone can run safari . its a high end device
I really like opera, so many thing you could do. But there are those that you don’t really need. I think it’s best to keep it simple like chrome.
opera is surely a great browser and at the mobile platform its even better, good to know that its approved for the iphone, that will be a positive thing for the iphone fans,
Opera for me is the best mobile browser 🙂
