Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3 Security Update Now Available

Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3On January Mozilla Firefox 3.6 released. Now Mozilla warns that the current version 3.6 has a security hole, a memory corruption flaw, which lets a remote attacker to run arbitrary codes on a person’s computer. Mozilla Firefox recommends all their users upgrade to this latest release Firefox 3.6.3 immediately.

If you are using Firefox 3.6 you would have received an automated update notification within 24 to 48 hours.

Manual Method :

You can also apply this manually by selecting Check for Updates… from the Help menu.

All Firefox 3 and 3.5 users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 3.6.

Mozilla said that this problem won’t affect Firefox 3.5 or other earlier versions.

  1. I hope all the add ons are still usable now, I don’t really know. I don’t use much of this so it doesn’t really affect me, but might affect a lot of others who use mozilla.

  3. updating firefox sometimes breaks your plugins and they deny to work. i will wait before my plugins like roboform and other are updated before i use the new firefox update

  11. Firefox is known for its bugs. If I am not wrong then Firefox was named as most buggiest software of 2009. Apart from Google chrome all the browser were hacked recently. Thanks to Firefox to release the security update.
