5 Reasons Why You Should Not Outsource Blog Articles

CONNECT WITH HBB ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Outsourcing PostsBlogging is not the same it used to be, it is now more a business than just a way to interact and share information with the world. Business giants have started to see the money that can be taken out of blogging and investments are floating in high numbers. These investments mainly goes into article outsourcing. They create blogs and get articles from a third party content writer to help it grow and get traffic from search engines. Is this fair to make blogging just a business? It is a wide open question that is underlying and in my opinion it should be no.

Anyways, I am not against outsourcing articles but it has its own limitations. In this article of mine, I will uncover five things which I feel make outsourcing a negative ploy.

1. You Don’t Have Complete Control

As a blogger who is looking to get his blog a name and fame on the web, needs to be sure of what he is putting up on his blog. When you outsource you some times become reluctant in checking the articles and post them as it is. Readers of your site may not like the way the outsourced articles are written up and many other such things will rise. You will never have control over your blog once you start to outsource articles.

2. Trust Issues May Rise Up

Consider an example scenario, you are going to a hospital specially to meet a doctor who is well known for curing some disease and you come to know that only some other doctor turns up these days, what will you do? You wont go their again because you don’t trust the hospital anymore with the specialist doctor’s absence. Same implies to your blog as well, people will definitely get to know while they read that it is not you who is writing those articles and it may be difficult for you to convince them back.

3. Getting Good Writers Is Difficult

These days getting good writers is very difficult because they either charge high or have their own blogs and business that they develop based on their talent. What are you left with? A bunch of other writers who are just going to write you an article for the sake of money and not by passion. Would you want that? I would not. If you think you have good writers under your belt then investing is not a bad ploy.

4. Money Expenditure

As I said before hiring content writers is costly and if you are depend on it then think twice before you decide to do that. Instead of outsourcing, if you are a good writer then why shouldn’t you write articles up? It will take an hour a day. Then probably using techniques to earn money from blogging you can earn even a better percentage of money. If you are just a business man, then you need to outsource articles for sure.

5. Successful Blogs Need Commanding Blogger

Have you seen any pro blog just outsource article? If you are not sure then do check blogs like Problogger, Quick Online Tips, HellBound Bloggers! They all spent time to write things down and gradually came to a position where people respect them for their work. Would you get that respect on outsourced articles? It is a question that you can answer on your own.

You have to be very careful with whom you do business. A lot of people out there are just looking for a quick buck, and you could end up wasting a lot of money and time in re-work.
Outsourcing is supposed to save you time and money. Although it is the “stylish” thing to do these days, you have to make sure that you are NOT outsourcing any critical parts of the business, like your marketing, for instance.

when blog articles are outsourced, the blog tends to lose its personal touch. As you said getting good writers at reasonable cost is a daunting task. If people want to have their own blogs, they should be willing to spend some time to write a blog post for their readers.

Thou I agree with some of what your saying, a easy area to outsource is travel, people love writing about it and this makes it easier to outsource, if its some technical than its better you do yourself.

    • Steve

I have a source of cheap decently written articles every month that I used to post on certain blog networks. Now the only networks still standing have high standards and I am trying to figure what to do with these less than wonderful articles.

    • Aasma

Nice article, I think finding a good writer who can write original content is really difficult task and you can't ignore the quality of your article.

Interesting post, and it certainly has two sides of the story, while outsourcing can be time saving and can produce jobs for other people. Which in my mind is very good way to give something back to society. But on the other side there are these negative things that you mentioned, that we loos the trust of our loyal visitors and it can get out of control.

I don't know, it is complicated situation but I would still choose to outsource just because I can help other writers financially
      thanks for sharing.

James if the writer is worth paying i agree that we should go for it, but not just for the sake of getting articles or because he writes.

No doubt in that now-a-days many ways are available to play with your articles or blog so apply these simple rules before feel something wrong with you.

    • Suneel

Well written Sandeep. And yeah you hit the nail on it's head with the third point. getting good writers is extremely difficult and making them write in the style of the blog owner who has written articles until now on the blog is utterly impossible.

It's better to spare 10-15 minutes to brainstorm and collate important points about a topic and take some time to write an article, than hiring some one else to write on the blog.

      • Sandeep Singh

Thanks Suneel for agreeing, i believe HBB is one site where i find Pradeep writes his own articles without outsourcing. He does have guest posts but that is completely different from outsourcing.

    • Bharat Chowdary

These days some writers are trying to spin the content and send the same with different titles to many blog owners. We should carefully handle them, otherwise we will face some serious issues in future.

      • Sandeep Singh

That is something we find it common, you need to be 100% sure of the content and title before posting it. A pro account in Copyscape is a necessity for outsourcing.

    • Jasmine

I agree with you. But if you have grown to have too many blogs to maintain, then you have no choice but to outsource, or to hire people to do it for you. You can do so, but make sure you check their work closely, give them trainings and guidance.
