HP 2133 Netbook – Special Review

The HP 2133 netbook has been made specifically for the education market. The HP 2133 comes with an 8.9-inch diagonal WXGA LCD screen that features a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. This netbook measures 33mm x 255mm x 165 mm and weighs 1.19 kg. It uses a 6-cell (55 WHr) or 3-cell (28 WHr) Lithium-Ion battery.
This netbooks comes ready with several applications including HP Backup and Recovery Manager, Roxio Creator 9, Microsoft Office Ready 2007, a Kensington lock and Symantec Norton Internet Security.

Price : $499
For the price of $499 specifications include 1.0GHz VIA processor, 512MB of RAM and a 4GB PATA Flash module with Linux.
Price : $749
For price of $749 specifications include 1.6GHz VIA processor, 2GB of RAM and a 120GB 5400 rpm hard drive which runs Windows Vista Business.
Specifications
This HP netbook comes with an 8.9-inch screen, large keyboard and a full-sized notebook hard drive.
Operating systems can be chosen by users among these: Genuine Windows Vista Business or Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic 32, depending on the users’ choice. There’s also FreeDOS, or SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 to choose from if ever needed.
System
The HP 2133 comes preinstalled with Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Home Basic, FreeDos and a SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop. Besides that, it uses the VIA C7®-M ULV Processor which has up to 1.6 GHz and a 128 KB L2 cache as its processor. For the chipset, it uses a VIA CN896NB and an 8237S SB. The HP 2133 consists of a DDR2 SDRAM, 667MHz with one SODIMM memory slot which is capable of supporting up to 2048MB. Users can choose from a choice of 120/160 GB 5400 rpm SATA, 120/160 GB 7200 rpm SATA, HP 3D DriveGuard; or a 64 GB Solid State Drive with an optional 4 GB PATA Flash Module with SuSE Linux as its storage device. The VIA Chrome 9 is used as the GPU in the HP 2133.
Media
The HP 2133 uses a High Definition Audio stereos speaker with an integrated stereo microphones, stereo headphone/line out, and stereo microphone in.
Other Features
Purchasing this netbook, users will get a limited 1-year and 90-day warranty for service and support. The netbook also comes with a bundle of software such as HP Backup and Recovery Manager, Roxio Creator 9, and Microsoft Office Ready 2007. It also comes with a Kensington lock and Symantec Norton Internet Security.

dell is obviously the best lapptop seller in US for its features and brand value
this is small netbook with great design. I thinks it’s similar to toshiba NB, but HP is better than toshiba I think.

This type of notebooks or net books are just for browsing and little multimedia. It is like a big smartphone. So if you plan to use a laptop for business or multi-tasking, be wise in choosing the specs you will be needing.

How does this HP netbook compare to Acer’s AcerOne? I think the Acer netbook is more popular.
