WordPress released a new update? In other news, the sun rose this morning.
ya, just now i updated, but after updating, my Google analytics stopped working in my blog dashboard
, but i can see in Google analytic webpage. may be its due to update ??, i dont know what to do , any help
Check for if your Analytics plugin is compatible with WP 2.9.1 or otherwise deactivate it and reactivate it with proper reset. Cache of plugins after upgrades usually cause problems if not cleared. All the best!
I just upgraded WordPress over my blog. Didn’t found anything new or any major changes. Just a small post-stamp hitch, that also for some less DB load hosts, made use all risk our lifes over WP upgrade.
WP anyway rocks.
I will be updating my blogs later today.
I was already using the wordpress 2.9.1 development version because when I used the wordpress 2.9, I found a bug that the cron file stopped working. Due to this problem the pings to different sites have stopped and google was taking much time to index my blog post more than 3-4 hours.
So I installed the wp 2.9.1 and the problem was solved. This problem might occur on some hosting plans. So it is suggested that you update your wordpress immediately to get your posts indexed.
WordPress 2.9 was enough, did they really need to release 2.9.1 so soon? I haven’t noticed any huge difference in the versions, so I wonder why they pushed it… either way, great news!
Ah no.. tried to upgrad it but simple tags didn’t allow :S need to uninstall and re-do it again
Yet i haven’t download it, thanks for telling about it’s bugs.
updated my blog to the latest version.. 2.9 is really annoying and thank god they released this version soon..
Excellent blog you have here. I’m a long time reader, but haven’t commented before, I just had to say how much I enjoy the site. Where did you get this WordPress theme? Is it custom? I really like it.
It seems this is really very good news for wordpress users. Expect that google will improve their blogger features.
WordPress 2.9.1 is stable and working fine. Issues came in 2.9 were very much critical. Thanks to WordPress team for resolving them so quickly.
updated
I upgraded my installs yesterday and ended up with BSOD(Blank Screen of Death) first.
I upgraded and had no issues or hassles at all, loving the automatic upgrading feature. Makes life so much easier for all of us WP users.
I do know some bloggers are waiting for a week or two before upgrading, just to make sure all is ok.
Yes I updated it
I used Automatic Upgrade plugin to upgrade!
And now my blog is powered by WordPress 2.9.1!
Yep, i finally updated, its all good now, no plugin problems nor anything else, also have not found any bugs since the update
Thanks for the info! I’ll update it right now
wordpress 2.9.1 has still got some serious bugs in it.
