Heyya fellows! So, finally this Year is getting to END. This Year has lots of Big Games with Huge expectations and some unknown games came to Gaming market without any expectations and made a revolution on Gaming industry! A chaotic 12 months had heartbreaking closed doors of famous game studios .. and saw the excellence of many great gaming companies .. I’m here to show u the look back of year 2009 .. and forward of 2010 .. Show you the outstanding games of this year .. and make you, the readers .. the truth behind all these games ..
I’m trying to cover all platforms games and all news .. which had happened during 2009 .. So, stay excited to read following review!
Look back to 2009
2009 has been an outstanding year for the gaming industry to see several game companies close the doors and few booming companies made a name for themselves to give a gripping debut games.
Things Happened During 2009 In Game Industry
- 2008 had record game sales around $21 billion. But This Year?
- Microsoft eliminated more than 5000 people from their gaming Industry which made headlines news in 2009. Don’t worry Microsoft closed all games they developed and now they are focusing on Real life Motion Gaming.
- EA cuts the salary of their entire staff to 11% .. EA was ones a Big Company .. but now ? Releasing the same stuff’s but changing names .. for example .. Sim’s Series .. FIFA series .. NFL series .. Sports Series .. NFS series .. Burnout series .. and what not ? .. all are the same game with few improved in graphics and game name .. but ? still remains the same ..
- Midway – famous Chicago gaming company .. who made Mortal kombat series .. NBA Series .. The Famous Pac-Man .. WWF Games .. Now ? They announced to sale their company for $49 Million ..
- Konami & Actvision .. or the companies .. Produces Profit ! Actvision ownes Guitar Hero Series Got $2 Billion .. Call of Duty 4 Hits 13 million copies .. Konami successful for these last few years .. with Metal Gear Solid Series .. which won Game of the Year 2008 .. and their Next mission for Metal Gear Solid – Rising ! yet to don’t have copyrights fo Pro Evolution Soccer .. they rock !
- Sony announced Reconstructing PlayStation 3 made 2.9 Billion loss ! yet they r back with PlayStation 3 Slim with price lower to 20000Rs ! ( Indian Money ) with 120GB internal Memory !
- Microsoft – After 12 years Excellency .. They announced closing Flight Stimulation Games which made a mass Layoffs !
- EA had a loss of $641 million .. which made to reduce payrolls to 11% !
- The Sim’s Creator Wrill Wright Quits EA .. to Form a Think Tank .. called Stupid Fun Club ! Seriously, he Did that !
- Take-Two .. Has a confident of their Game’s Long – Term Success .. from the debut of Grand Theft Auto Series .. and their new GTA : Chinatown Wars .. for DS and PSP .. it can be even said has .. Got Game of the Year for the Platform for DS and PSP !
- Eidos It’s no more Eidos .. Now named has Square Enix .. Famous UK London Gaming company .. famous for Hitman Series .. Tomb Raider Series .. Batman : Arkham Asylum .. Commandos Series .. Kane & lynch series .. Thief series .. now ? Became has ” Square Enix ” A Japanese Publishers .. Sad for them and us.
- Actvision’s Guitar Hero 5 .. sold 499,000 Copies .. Yet Actvision achieves another victory !
- EA .. Again ? announces 17% Percent of their Staff would be pink – slipped ! cuttin over 1,500 Jobs.. Saves $100 Million annually ..
- Ubisoft .. Most Successful Gaming companies in the world from France .. Famous for Assassin’s Creed series .. Splinter cell series .. Prince of Persia series .. Far Cry series .. Brother in Arms Series .. Tom Clancy’s Series .. Gets $1 Billion Profit for Year 2009 .. has set to lots of exciting releases for upcoming 2010.
What Do You Expect For 2010?
- EA Announces .. new classic series of their Medal of honor series .. Famous Legend Steven Spielberg’s Game .. he is the story writer for Medal of honor series .. back with new type of Special ops commandos in afganistan modern – War ! Hits in 2010 ..
- Max Payne 3 Delayed .. but they r back with 2K Games .. to get a Gearbox’s Action in 2010 .
- THQ – Tryin for its last try .. with largest development house .. hiring 400 Jobs .. first core – focused titles .. Suspense on everythin ! Set to release in 2013 ..
- Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell : Conviction .. to be released on February 23rd 2010 .. to my view .. the game has the capability to break Call of Duty MW2 Record !
- Just Cause 2 .. Falls on March 23rd 2010 .. Mass Effect 2 .. falls on January 26th 2010 .. New Type of Alien vs Predator falls on February 1st 2010 .. Gran Turismo 5 falls on February 2nd 2010 .. BioShock 2 set’s on February 9th 2010 .. Bad company 2 on March 2th 2010 .. Dante’s Inferno on February 9th 2010 .. These games announced here .. are set for record in Gaming Industry ..
- Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia : The Forgotten Sands .. Yea .. due fo POP4 release .. a new story .. sure the Sands are to be forgotten ! but they returns with a new Sands of Time Timeline .. makes Prince of Persia Fans .. a Huge Excitment ! this one sets field on May 11st 2010 ..
- Actvision announces .. Transformers : War of Cybertron .. to be released around 2010.
- Most awaited Game : Mafia 2 .. which took 8 Years .. for New York’s 2-k Company .. to be released around May – July 2010 .. This game took 8 Years of developement .. with 700 Pages book of Dialogues.. Screen shots of this game and Traliers .. is famous from 2006 .. This company is famous for Rockstar Games GTA series .. Midnight Club series .. and for the Famous Mafia ! These Guys are famous for their perfection ! and in this Mafia 2 . They said . The Time we take is for the Perfection we require .. so im sure .. tat this Mafia 2 .. Hits a Record break awards and achievement in the Year 2010.

Thats a good research of companies you have made bro. The latest game i played was crysis warhead, i believe it was released in 2008. Havnt tried any of the games in 2009.

Indians’ for games. We are still a lot behind in creativity than the graphics we can make. The Hanuman game for Playstation, nice graphics, but gamers weren’t to find what exactly they have to do in the game

To correct you dude, we have a top class technical and graphical stuffs, we made ‘Shamsher Sikandar Chaddi Buddy’ for Cartoon Network and it was a hit cartoon all over the world, but again the script was of Warner Bros.
We are good in creativity, I agree, but it’s limited to unscreened audience. We can’t think beyond ‘Mytho Wars’ and ‘Love in Sci-fi’.

we have the creativity and technicians, but the company ask that much low budget to do, so the animators and gamers do, this make them make a barrier for themselves. pour the money you can see james camreon in india. i bet .
Na it isn’t that MNCs are not paying us less. They are ready to flood us with bucks but they want ideas also sometimes with sparkling graphics. If not given a proper script, the company provide us with a storyline and we just make that out; there are live examples, over 50 episodes of japanese blockbuster anime cartoon Naruto was made in India by some animation agency from Kolkata.
no rishi, i even for eg : ry & hues, made some great animation and VFX which movies and games yet to come. and other companies like sony are doing mind blowing . i think you should have visited the Internation animation day fest too. i am not saying the point only from that . apart from that . you see we have talents, the money matter. if you go for animtion job as a freshers you can get 3000 – 4500 only. see. they paid laks for studies. in case of GD 8000-10000 . who said the Mnc are ready to flood the money | it may be any one or two companies.may be which do for contratc basis. dont know clearly.

Yeah you are right some places but as you gave example, Road Side Romeo was an Indian made anime, and Krishna was also the one – but there’s some difference between them of the quality and audience they targetted and the audience they got.
And for the fresher salary is concerned, have you seen the animation they do? What can be expected then? One who are really good are chosen by either big companies or Indian anime giants. Seen those flash ads from Media Curry, made for Orbit n all? Awesome piece of work, and they pay big bucks to their people.
Its just that quality n quantity can never be wished together in this Indian economy, leave Animation.

Your statistics are right. EA is losing the mane. NFS Shift was another very big disappointment of 2009, they put so much into graphics that they completely forgot about hardware and controlling. And Microsoft looking for reformation in its Gaming, god, another great try for further losses.

I’m waiting for ‘Avatar’. And in the first quarter of 2010, I’m looking at a Nintendo Wii coming my way, so more games this year.
Avatar has already Released at Dec’ 09 ! .. Chk for tat ! ubisoft Creations .. i had hands on that game .. Not bad ! but .. when compared to movie .. Game is not That much Gud
You are right bro, most of the EA games have just a change of name and a little graphics in them. Everything rest are alike. If you plays them, you may can’t even differentiate them. They have that much similarities.

I kinda like the change from Eidos to Square Enix. Japanese has interesting game styles. With Square Enix going worldwide, I say there will be more colors to enjoy on gaming realm. Btw, I think Devil May Cry 4 is the best game in the world, you got to play it buddy!
yea .. DMC4 ! is a Gud Game .. Awsum Graphics .. but its not worth sayin Best Game in The World .. While GTA Series r always thr to Catch tat place !! not only GTA Series .. Lots of Games !! Focused in ther own Fields

Tech has changed – innovated and Gaming markets has almost tripled. Yet, me, as an student doesn’t play much of those graphical games

How do you feel about mobile gaming? I think that’s where the most movements can be found in 2010..
I like arcade games better than many other games that are available on different platforms.
There are many free games to play on the net.
I regularly play many games online because i can’t afford a console of my own.
But i do have my PC and connect to the net to play many of the old classic games like pacman mario sniper etc that are available in the given website.
But gaming has gone a long way from where it has started into a multi billion $ industry
