HOW TO: Delete Your Yahoo! Or Hotmail Account

Yahoo ! Mail and hotmail are notably one of the famous mail services, but it doesn’t mean that you are satisfied with it or you are going to keep it life long. If you ever want to delete a Yahoo ! Mail or hotmail account, then here is the procedure for it. Note that even though it is cancelled, it will take some time to be deleted permanently.

Note : Deleting your email account is a one-way process, so better be 100 percent sure that you really want to delete it. It is under your own risk !

Cancel your Hotmail email account

• Go to Hotmail.com and log into your account

• At the top right of the screen you can check a Help link

• Type Close account into the search box there

• Choose the Close your account link

• Follow the instructions there to close your Hotmail account. It will be like some feedback or other stuffs.

Cancel your Yahoo! Mail email account (also its services)

If your Yahoo! account is inactive for 4 months, it will be automatically deactivated.

You can close your Yahoo! Mail account easily and quickly, but you are going to lose your other Yahoo! serivces account too. They include Geocities, Groups and more.

Do the following steps for closing your Yahoo ! Mail + All Yahoo ! services account.

• Go to mail.yahoo.com (or) www.yahoomail.com and log into your account

• At the top right of the screen under the search box you can find a help link

• Choose the Account Configuration link under the “Using My Yahoo! Mail Account” section

• You can find a  section called “Closing My Account” at the bottom of the page. Choose the “How do I close my account?” link

• Follow the instructions on the screen to close your Yahoo ! account
