Sony Ericsson unveils world’s first 12MP Phone

Sony Ericsson surprised everyone this year at Mobile World Congress by announcing the world’s first 12MP camera phone and unlimited multimedia service. The phone is named Idou, which is not confirmed yet, will be launched in the middle of 2009. Apart from the 12MP camera it has a large 3.5-inch touchscreen with ‘intuitive touch features’ and a 16:9 widescreen screen ratio.
The Idou will also have a new interface for Sony Ericsson, based on the work done by the Symbian Foundation. Sony Ericsson also
unveiled Entertainment Unlimited which features the Walkman music experience, the Cyber-shot imaging experience, Java gaming and don’t forget to check the TechRadar.
The Entertainment Unlimited ‘umbrella’ will be used throughout 2009.
This super snapper phone from Sony Ericsson is the first to have this Entertainment Unlimited feature. Sony announced the world’s first 12.1 mega pixel phone beating Samsung in the race of high definition camera phone. Samsung is currently working on its 12MP camera phone. Since it has Symbian powered OS you can easily download and install lot of applications and games from Sony’s PlayNow online store and through other symbian application sources.

· Has a 16.7 million color screen in 16:9 widescreen format.
· Has full-touch media menu access movies, TV series and video clips directly.
· Has built-in 12.1-megapixel camera with touch focus and Xenon flash for capturing photos and video in high-resolution quality.
· Has the features of Walkman music experience and the Cyber-shot imaging experience.
· This model’s feature and interface is powered by Symbian.
· This phone features 3G and GPS receiver.
Final Conclusion :
Sony Ericsson’s Idou will be a new part of the Entertainment family and of course, it will be a sure competitor for Apple’s iPhone and other multimedia phones. This super snapper phone from Sony Ericsson will sure make a new revolution in this year and it will make your purse lighter, I guess.

I heard about 8mega phone by Sony called Xperia but 12 mega pixel is beyond imagination.
